This is a blog post I made recently that I thought I would repost here. 
I have gotten a couple of questions recently about the best way to go about getting feedback from professionals. Here are some tips I have gathered.
Remember: you may not (and likely will not) get a reply every time. Many artists are very busy and are swamped with requests for feedback. Please go into this process without expectation and do not feel like it’s a personal failure if you don’t get responses right away. 
 Send an email, not a social media message. Social media messages get lost in sea of feedback. Emails have no character length requirements, are more professional, and (most importantly) are more often accessed from a computer rather than a phone. You’re going to get a lot more in-depth feedback when someone has access to a real keyboard.

The title says it. If you are one of those peeps (like me) who struggle to keep themselves healthy and in good shape - try adding things like:
<> Exercise
<> Breakfast
<> Lunch
<> Dinner
<> 8 hrs of sleep
<> 30 mins learning
<> Calcium, Magnesium (or any other meds/supplements you need)
To your to-do list!
You get an endorphin rush from ticking/striking things off your list! It is yet another way to help you ensure that your body is well!
I won't list any science articles because I'm lazy to google (but you can do it if it totally makes no sense to you) - but - yes, it has been scientifically proven that taking at least 4 days off a month increases your productivity by 10%. Rest is very important part of ensuring you work well. o v o' [Working 24/7 actually makes you less productive, so don't fall into the trap of working all the time]
From personal experience I can say that it's 200% true - if you don't take any days off to rest/binge read/han

Short answer:
Study on top of drawing completed stuff in paralel. Don't just learn by doing. Yes, you will level up by doing as long as you study up for the picture in question (using refs, etc.), but your progress will be incomparably slower compared to one you get by also actively studying. o v o'
Elaboration, aka, how you do the do:
1. Find the study material!
My top pick is Loomis for starters!(it works really well with learning for anime-like styles if you can extrapolate)
If books ain't your thing, there are free videos! (Example)
Or online courses like from Schoolism (if you got 15$ a month to spare on a subscription) 
2. Buy/Bookmark/download/sign-up!In other words - get access to it! Unless you can open the thing in 2 gestures or 2-3 clicks, you haven't done this step properly!  
3. Do it daily!D

The short answer would be - start very small. If you want to read more, make it a plan to read for 5 minutes every day. If you want to draw more or start drawing - make it a plan to draw for 5 minutes.
Going from zero to something is not easy. Huge New Years resolutions of going to the gym every day will mostly fail. But walking for 5 minutes each day can work out.
Start so tiny that it feels incredibly easy to do it. Easy enough that you will gladly do it just for the sake of endorphin boost you get from striking a thing off your list.
If you can't get through the first week of doing it, make it smaller. If you do make it through the first week, add another five minutes, or less if you can't keep it up.
If you go from 5 minutes of daily drawing to 10 minutes of daily drawing next week, by only adding 5 minutes at a time, you will be drawing four hours a day next year and if you happen to spend a part of that time studying the fundamentals, you won't believe how much progress you can m

To start off, there's this misguided idea that things will just work out without planning.
If we don't plan, then we are always stuck in the 'urgent matters'. Something will always happen - you need to go shop, to clean house, to make food, to go to work, to reply to messages, to return calls, and thus you are always stuck in doing the urgent or running errands for other people. Or just doing easy stuff that you like.
Unless you put your goals on paper and plan how to achieve them, you will be too all over the place to achieve things. Just because life is hard and there's never enough time.
To be able to say 'no' to the easy and urgent, you need to have a clearly defined goal to say 'yes' to. Unless you have a bigger 'yes' burning inside you, saying 'no' will be too hard. 
So, first tip, set goals.
